Who we are

The AG Website is a two-person web design and build studio based in Dublin, Ireland. This page covers the data collected through theagwebsite.com only.

What we collect

Hosting logs. This site is hosted on Netlify. Like almost any web host, Netlify automatically records standard access logs for every visit — things like IP address, browser/user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs exist to keep the site running securely and reliably. We don't run any analytics on top of them, and we don't access them for anything beyond troubleshooting if the site breaks.

Fonts. We use Google Fonts to display text correctly. Loading a font sends your IP address to Google's servers, the same way it would for any resource loaded from a third-party domain. We don't control what Google does with that request; see Google's own privacy policy for details.

Email. If you contact us — by clicking a "Get in touch" link or emailing us directly — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your business. We use this only to reply to your enquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share it with anyone else.

What we don't collect

No cookies. No analytics or tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, nothing like it). No account creation. No contact forms that store submissions on our own servers — enquiries go straight to our inbox as an email.

Legal basis

Hosting logs are processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working. Anything you send us by email is processed to respond to the enquiry you initiated.

Retention

We don't independently store hosting logs; they're retained by Netlify per its own standard practice. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry, then deleted.

Third parties

Netlify (hosting) and Google (font delivery) are the only third parties involved in running this site. Neither receives anything from us beyond what's described above.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — in practice, this would just be email correspondence. Email us at the address below and we'll sort it.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect ever changes — for example, if we add a contact form or analytics in future — we'll update this page to reflect that.
